The rooftop pool and hot tub at the Fives is fabulous.

Liked:We loved the rooftop pool and hot tub!! It made the stay great. The staff was really nice and professional. The bar drinks and food were very good. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette would be great for longer stays. Our included breakfast was a very large and plentiful buffet. Lots of variety.

Disliked:The rooms were listed as having a balcony, but in reality they did not. I think the rooms listed on Bookings with a terrace would give you an actual balcony.

Disliked:Breakfast chefs reluctant to cook fried eggs and cook bacon. This is important for veurooesndcand American clients. Needs new modern machine firvtiasting bread. Current old and giving problems. No bar open downstairs vand takes away from atmosphere and integration of guests. Book in very poor and little interest in clients. Room was not ready in time despite wait firv3 hrs. Manager was not visible at all. No supervision. Sometimes no night staff on duty safety. Overall no real greeting of guests. Not a warm happy feeling of staff Never seen a Manager there. Overall a bad outdated hotel.

Incredible experience!!!

Liked:This is hands down the best resort I have stayed at. All hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it possibly could be every step of the way. The only downside was that there is a seaweed problem in Playa del Carmen right now, and swimming in the ocean was not ideal (not the resort's fault). Other than that they had so many delicious gourmet restaurants which were included in the all inclusive and there were events planned all day, every day, with amazing staff and infrastructure. There is many pools and even a jungle path and a cenote on the property! The resort itself was truly magical and the staff made it one to remember. I would 100% reccomend. A special shoutout to Richardo, Juan and our tour guide Enrique (Tulum tour).
