Great vacation at iberostar Cancun

Liked:The four of us had a wonderful vacation at Iberostar Cancun and came home with so many great memories! ❤️🌴 We really enjoyed the food, the beautiful pool, the drinks, and our ocean-view room. The room was very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly—which is definitely important in Cancun! Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated that the staff spoke English, which made everything very easy for us. A very special thank you to Jorge Jasso for his excellent service around the beautiful white cabanas by the pool. We reserved one of these cabanas, and Jorge really stood out because of his attention to every little detail. When Jorge was working, you could immediately see the difference. Early in the morning he would carefully prepare the cabanas, arrange and fold the towels beautifully, keep everything clean and organized, and make sure the information about renting the cabanas was clearly displayed. Everything looked stylish, inviting, and professionally prepared. This may sound like a small detail, but it makes a big difference. We noticed that many guests didn’t realize the cabanas required a reservation/payment and would sit down, only to leave later when they found out. On other shifts, the rental information wasn’t always displayed clearly. Jorge made sure everything was prepared properly and guests had the information they needed. He was also always nearby and available whenever we had a question or needed something. You can tell when someone simply does their job and when someone genuinely takes pride in doing it well. Jorge is definitely the second kind. Thank you, Jorge Jasso, for making our pool and cabana experience extra special! Iberostar is lucky to have an employee who cares so much about the details and the guest experience. We had a beautiful vacation and would happily return! 🌊☀️🍹❤️

Family of 7 Having A Blast!

Liked:We are a family of 7 ranging from a 17 year old up to a birthday boy 81 year old. Shout out to all the staff and especially Adrian who had made this trip an exceptionally memorable experience for my 81 year old father. Adrian provided an amazing birthday experience with cake by the pool with candles and rounded up a bunch of people to sing happy birthday! The resort is just the right size for us, and the food was very good all around! Rooms are clean and the staff is a lot of fun! We’ve been to 20 plus all inclusives and Iberostar ranks very highly with everyone in our group! Highly recommend!

DOWN HILL - RUN

Liked:Customer service was non existent at FRONT DESK! I booked a King Bedroom and we got doubles, no accommodations, no sorry…just fine print retold to us. The beach was never cleared of seaweed. The entertainment was below sub pare. And the FOOD was bland and all meats even at steak house restaurant was fatty. The food was absolutely sorry. At steak house restaurant a sharp wire in chair poked out and scratched my thigh. No apology no concern. And on the last day breakfast, water from ceiling dripped on me. I have been 3 time to Iberostar and extended family over 7 times…it used to be a great 5 star hotel…it’s a 2 star now!

Two families

Liked:Location is good. Middle of the strip. Close to airport. Easy transportation to the. Jay area if you like. Buses all the time. 30 min ride even with traffic. Beach: seaweed season but we were able to swim. Morning is better than afternoon. Nice waves. No rocks. Plenty of seats. Pool: terrible pool floor. I have bandaids all over my feet from scratching from the bottom of the pool. Needs tiles or renovations big time. If you participate in the games such as water polo or basketball, be careful. Wear water shoes. I have never such a problem ever in any other resort! Towels as much as you like. Seats at the pool are a problem. Reserve early and they have a stupid policy that you can lose your seat after 30 min of absence. Service at the pool is decent. Hit or miss at the bar. One day they were understaffed. Weekends are busier and service is less. Plus the elevators are a big problem especially on the weekend when it is busy. Ridiculous elevators !!! You can wait 15 min or more. Terrible situation. Food: decent but buffet redundant. No reservations and first come first serve does not work well here. This hotel needs renovations and in fact they are going to do it next year. I can see why. It also lacks luxury. 4 star hotel. Not 5 star as labeled. Shows at night are amateurish. Overall, a lot of positives. Layout of the pool, entertainment team, big theater, ok gym, decent food, nice people, good service, good location, nice AC and nice lobby. Decent size rooms. Nice views, good activities with nice participation. Microphone was banned recently and still entertainment team was able to attract people to participate in pool activities. Good wifi.
