Liked:The location. was perfect. The staff was very professional and on point. Whenever you needed something. The staff always goes above and beyond to make it happen. It could be helping book an excursions or just something as small as bringing an extra bottle of water to your room. Always service with a smile. Great place to vacation. Great job Riu. See you next year.

Disliked:The beach was over run with seaweed and watching the workers continuously try to pick it up by hand was heart felt. Maybe in the future Riu can invest in a heavy pice of machinery to combat the process. Never enjoyed the beach while at the Riu. But had an awesome time still. Thanks Riu..

Not luxury

Liked:We did a tui multi trip part of our honeymoon. 3 days in cozumel and 11 nights at rui palace The lobby is beautiful and does give you the wow factor Currently 3 days in and it very much an eye opener. I would 100% do your research, they say it classed as luxury but I really don't think it is. We avoided rui cancun next door as this was 'Party' but this hotel as more party vibes! Not sure if it do with people visiting, but I would definitely not be coming back here! The rooms definitely need updating Eating breakfast outside is a problem due to the birds. Avoid eating at the black and white restaurant the steak is very chewy, no seasoning and they expect you to share small chips between two!

It’s ok. Will try something different next time.

Liked:I called before booking and I was told that Any Rui Palace can go to the other hotels and use the amenities. No timeframe, no rules. 1. You can go to the other hotels but only until 5:00 pm. 2. Make sure you take a towel from the las americas hotel because the other hotels will NOT give you a towel. 3. Las Americas is an older hotel. 4. You have to check out to make sure you hand in the towel cards. Food: buffet is buffet. Breakfast is good. The Japanese restaurant is good. Make sure you check when the restaurants are closed.
