Awful experience!

Liked:The rooms were very clean, the housekeeping was excellent, they were very attentive The room we were in was close to all the amenities. The complex transport was good for getting around. The gardens are beautiful and the animals are lovely to see when walking around. The American Sports Bar, was the only place where we felt it was safe to eat, and the staff were friendly and attentive there.

Disliked:The food was awful even in the restaurants that you have to book. All of the family ended up ill. The food that was supposed to be chilled was not, such as the fish, cold meats and salads. Had to go to the onsite doctor for stomach issues. The buffet area is not air conditioned, it is mostly open air and it was too hot to eat in there, this needs updating as you cannot sit there comfortably and eat. The other restaurants are air conditioned. Complained about this but the reception staff didn't seem interested at all. The service in the restaurants you have to book was awful, we waited over an hour in the Dominican themed restaurant for our food, and we had to send a meal back as the pork was overcooked and couldn't even cut it. The waiter also didn't take our order correctly when we asked for a starter and it didn't even come. The soft fizzy drinks are all flat. They have nothing on draft besides the beer. You ask for a coke it is flat, a sprite, it is flat. We also didn't trust the water they were serving in all the restaurants and bars, only trust the bottled water the maids left in the fridge in the room. There are not enough umbrellas around the pool, you have to get there fairly early to get one. In the pool I found the white chlorine tablets that had not dissolved, this shouldn't happen as they are supposed to be in a container and then put in the pool. These can be corrosive to the skin. The seaweed issue this time of the year is unavoidable, however piles of seaweed were left on the beach and a strong smell of ammonia is all around the complex, this can also cause health issues. You don't get served any drinks around the pool you have to go to the bar yourself if you are there just as a normal all inclusive customer, if you paid for VIP then you would get this service, however it is expensive. Overall I don't recommend this hotel, save your money and go all out and pay for a far superior hotel with a better experience.

Liked:Lovely surroundings,great staff clean rooms

Disliked:Food terrible fish not on ice cold me in the warm cakes melting.Resturants small portions and not very nice sent food back waiter not very happy but not eating tough food.Anyway due to the food I was ill and medical bill was 530 dollars.Management dont want to know and are dismissive.
