It was ok. Beautiful grounds made up slightly poor experience

Liked:The decor is beautiful - modern, new, tropical. The grounds are 5 star.

Disliked:Not so clean when looking beyond first impression. Lobby dirty, drinks left around for long time attracting flies - could have been better maintained. The buffet restaurant was a mess. Not clean, not well staffed. They do not have a check in and seating system like most resorts. It’s a fend for yourself - tables left with dirty plates from last diners and any tables that have been cleaned of plates were not refreshed with new cutlery, glasses, and table not wiped down. The food choices for breakfast were underwhelming, and they stopped restocking the items they did have around 9:40am both days we were there (breakfast ends at 10:30). Staff had to be flagged down to request coffee and/or drinks (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The rooms in some buildings are quite humid, with the smell of damp and things feeling slightly moist in the morning. Our room was full of mosquitoes despite being on the 3rd floor and leaving no doors open. Reception had requested fumigation but this was not done.

Santos helped us so much made us feel so comfortable and helped us with everything..

Liked:Very nice and clean so many different birds and iguanas on property. Staff was very friendly they treat you like royalty with the platinum package we were on our honeymoon….santos was a very good person he made our 6 day stay wonderful and the nice women that helped us last night at the desk was very helpful I forgot her name.. overall the staff was the best part of the experience they were so friendly and helpful…

Disliked:The drinks seemed to be fake because I never got a buzz not one so drink shots if you want to fill anything mixed drinks was sweet but no liquor in them… also we got the biggest spa package but never got our pedicures and the chocolate broke my skin out . Last thing was the timeshare people they were to pushy and we couldn’t get up when trying to leave they would send an even more aggressive person. I was interested and needed a little time to think but they were to pushy so I felt I was getting scammed.

Not worth the money or the 5 stars.

Liked:It’s a very clean hotel, big entrance and lobby. A few pools and a clean beach. The kitchen staff (only buffet restaurant) and housekeeping were excellent. The poolbar staff was also very nice.

Disliked:The wifi doesn’t work until you pay for it. The showers were with COLD water for a few days without solution. The reception staff is rude and don’t want to help. Not even to change money. We had food poisoning on our last day. They don’t really want to help you at the reception or the bar (some of them, not all) unless you give a tip. They pressure you to take the vip package on the first day. Also, you can’t change your towels every day.
