Cheap for a reason

Liked:Run down and worn. Cabinet door falling off it’s hinge, shower head holder didn’t stay in place, dingy and frayed towels

Disliked:Construction on my floor and in the room next door - started drilling at 08:45 both mornings. In my opinion the hotel should make sure they start later and notify before hand. If I had known I would have selected another hotel.

Liked:Nice big rooms. Modern finishings and very clean.

Disliked:Lots of urban social disorder in the neighborhood. Homeless campers, open drug use, pan handling, etc

Disappointed

Liked:We were excited to celebrate a one night away for our 20th anniversary. We were very disappointed with the room . The windows faced another building that was under construction. Even before going I had read a review about how bad the pillows were and that that was absolutely ridiculous. However, they really are not Great. I recommend you bring your own pillow. Also , at 7h45 am we saw text come in the night before at 10h45 saying some amnesty was ready for us. We had not asked for anything but upon my request to understand what it was . They mentioned they like to deliver macaroons on the afternoon. We were in the room as of 4 pm . It ended up being given to us on our way out with a card that said happy 20 th. We wish we could have enjoyed it in the previous afternoon. Furthermore, they kept mixing our room number to the point we had to argue that our car was ours and it assigned to another room. We have been to multiple places in Ottawa, this is the last one we would return to.
