nice hotel in convenient location, very good breakfast

Liked:good hotel in a convenient location in the centre of town, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, etc., we liked the flavoured water and fruit available in the lobby, housekeeping staff were very helpful, polite, friendly, breakfast generally was great with lots of choices, esp. various good breads and lovely crispy rolls, but one day there was no hot water for tea: machine was broken down and staff told us there was no kettle to boil water in the kitchen. There was a kettle in our room, so there must have been more kettles, she could have fetched.

Disliked:I didn't like the matress - it kept moving around on the bed, it felt rubbery and got hot after a short while lying on it and uncomfortable, I had very broken sleep, had to turn and turn and move around, I didn't like the attitude of the lady in the breakfast room, who said she would deal with the lack of hot water, but did not make any effort to find a kettle or any alterative hot water source, there was no appology but she implied that the lukewarm water was good enough for tea. When other people complained too, she disappeared and did not return until breakfast time was over
