Great value for a large suite in a great location on beach and near marina/downtown. Friendly staff.

Liked:The hotel and its staff are great. Location is perfect for beach and near/easily walkable to the marina and into downtown. There are also lots of options for dining and bars nearby. Hotel had plenty of amenities including two large pools, restaurants on site, spa, etc. Our room was very large with two completely separate bathrooms (with showers), kitchen, and two separate balconies. Plenty of space to spread out for a couple and a great deal for the price.

Disliked:The hotel is getting a bit old. Still very nice but beginning to show some age. The weather was extremely humid during our visit and all public areas are open-air. The only reprieve from the repressive humidity and heat was in the pool or in our room which was very nicely kept cold. Would have liked some areas for dining that were air conditioned for the times of year like this. We're from Texas so used to the heat but also used to some A/C while eating so everyone isn't just full on sweating. Only other negative is the massive presence of tourist-seeking vendors that harass you as soon as you walk out the back gate towards the beach. There were (on average) 20 massage ladies yelling at us on our 50 foot walk to the hotel's breakfast restaurant. Also, while on the hotel's beach, constantly haggled by vendors selling hats, glasses, ceramics, henna tattoos, jewelry, more massages, shirts, etc. It is non-stop. Also hit up a couple of times by guys asking if I wanted to get high. A simple no should suffice, but one in particular walked with me all the way to The Office (another restaurant) which was uncomfortable.

Liked:Loved the location and Medano Beach access. There's also good restaurants in the surrounding neighborhoods that we were able to walk to. The bay view is also pretty great!

Disliked:The pool was pretty warm and the bathrooms could be upgraded.
