Unless you are a die-hard Eagles fan, avoid at any cost!

Liked:The rooms were clean. Staff was friendly.

Disliked:This place has fallen out of time (an Eagles "Hotel California" theme). Filthy entry door and stairs to a first floor. Looks like it has not been renovated in ages. Reception is only open to 20h (after which it costs extra). This is substandard for a three star hotel in Switzerland. Rooms were clean but totally bland (no deco, nothing). Breakfast is in what is a "Carribean restaurant" at night and staffed with one single person. Breakfast buffet acceptable but really not more. Zurich was super booked. I ended up with this three star hotel for 260 CHF. This price is incredible for the quality and style of this hotel, even for current Swiss prices.

Liked:Excellent location, near to train station and the lake. Lot of restaurants near by. Breakfast was good.

Disliked:They did not clean the room and changed the towel even after we requested, we had to remind them multiple times. The room space was also quiet tight for 4 ppl.

Late check-in is only possible for an additional charge upon prior confirmation by the property. Contact details are stated in the booking confirmation. The Hotel California will be getting a new passenger elevator. We would therefore like to inform you that construction work will be taking place in our hotel from Saturday, January 17th to Friday, February 13th. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Our entire team is available during this time to assist you with luggage transport or any other concerns. As compensation, you will receive a 20% discount on your consumption in our Papa Joe’s restaurant (this offer does not apply to spirits). Your satisfaction and a pleasant stay are our top priorities. We are doing everything possible to provide you with the best possible experience. A deposit may be required at the property.
