VERY dated

Liked:We've stayed at many La Quinta properties and we've always been very satisfied with the accommodations. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of those times. Pros: The woman who checked us in, was pleasant, cordial, and helpful. Check-in was flawless. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, air conditioning was cold. Coffee in the morning was delicious. Breakfast choices were limited; I had only cereal but my husband said the eggs were good. Cons: I'm sure this was a beautiful property...in 1980. The walls, the trim, and the furniture looked so tired. Lots of chipped paint in the hallways. Our room had a peculiar odor. It looks as if some updating might have been attempted but results weren't successful. Hardware was painted over. We had some very suspicious looking spatter on the ceiling above the bed (see photo). Curtain was torn. The area next to the refrigerator was disgusting. Although the a/c was cold, it was also noisy. There was only one elevator and that looked like it had seen better days. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but we are retired and travel for us is a treat. We try to find accommodations that are reasonably priced but also comfortable. We're not expecting five star rooms but we do expect a hotel that didn't step out of the 80's.

Very unhappy, felt taken advantage of, and want other seniors to be wary of this location

Disliked:We are seniors 80 and 78, and we were not told that the elevator was out of service until AFTER we had been checked into a third floor room. No first or second floor rooms were available, we were told that no refund was possible, and there was no information about when the elevator would be fixed. It was apparently working the next morning at checkout but we were not updated so we carried all of our bags down 2 flights of stairs. The room was shoddy at best and smelled musty or moldy. The curtains were ripped from to bottom, the furniture was ripped, the refrigerator was not working and the bathroom faucet was dangerously loose and almost fell off.

Don't stay here

Liked:Nothing

Disliked:There was very little food and what there was, was garbage, the sausage was swimming in grease, no eggs, no biscuits, they had waffles, but that's it. The side door was jarred open so people could come and go as they pleased. The mattress was old and worn out, the pillows were half sized. I'll never be back
