Iconic location, but let down badly by poor cleanliness, terrible service and an appalling response to a legitimate comp

Liked:Iconic location. Great views and a decent breakfast buffet

Disliked:Room cleanliness was appalling. Our pillowcase had dried spaghetti and sauce stains from the previous guest. Staff service was equally poor. After lodging a complaint, a staff member involved searched for and viewed my personal social media profile, which I found completely inappropriate. The hotel then essentially ignored the complaint. I chased them for weeks before receiving a response. They eventually refunded the parking fee but did nothing meaningful to address the rest. Nowhere near the standard expected from an InterContinental.
