Save your money- lies about kosher food program and horrible service.

Liked:Genuinely concerned by this hotel- yes the property is gorgeous. But that almost doesn’t matter once you see the issues. As a kosher traveler, all of the promises they made were false. After paying extra with my reservation (JetBlue travel) for breakfast included, and being promised that it would include the kosher options, we were charged a $20 a person fee for EACH BREAKFAST. Coming to $200 US dollars for my husband and I to have breakfast. That we already paid for. They say they can accommodate Jewish travelers, yet when you arrive you find out about the extra fees, the food you ordered being completely different than what was said in the menu, and no way to fix it. Some of the staff actually means well, saying hello as you pass by. But our personal concierge only created confusion and frustration from the beginning. Promises were not filled. And on top of that- we had to sit through a 1.5 hour personal presentation on why we should spend 150k on a membership with them, when we already were expressing our issues. These “salesmen” didn’t care- they just wanted us to sign up for a membership. They said you would get better concierge services. Why would I do that seeing how bad the premium service I was already paying for was. And another thing- it was our honeymoon. This was made very clear. Not a fruit in the room, a bottle of champagne. Nothing! And we paid for a ocean view room… didn’t get it! But when we complained we were shut down and brushed off. I’ve heard the ritz in Cabo has better service and better kosher amenities. For a hotel that is $1300 a night, this was unacceptable. BEWARE.

Solaz is Excellent

Liked:A friend of mine and I purchased a time share at Solaz and it’s become our home away from home. Each year, we see many of the same staff and it’s like reuniting with friends. Each time we arrive, we meet with a super helpful Ambassador that lets us know about any changes at the property and offers to help us schedule any activities we need help with. The front desk staff are friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The bellboys are super helpful! All of them are awesome as are the pool staff and waitpeople. One of my favorite bellmen is Jorge! We see him every year and it’s so nice to catch up! He has been so helpful with our luggage and groceries and linking our music to the sound system in our time share and carting us from the pool in the golf cart!! Thank you Jorge for your help each year and your friendship! Can’t wait to see you and our Solaz “family” at our next stay!!

Beautiful resort

Liked:luxury accommodations! the rooms are very clean, just a couple of notes. At this level of luxury and price there should be a free standing tub in the bathroom, and chilled pools. The pools were way too warm, everyone around the pool was talking about it. I’ve been to many luxury resorts with chilled pools, this isn’t a new thing. Also, I recommend asking for a lower floor. The hike to the tower rooms is a beast! Views are amazing but the heat stroke getting to the top 🔝isn’t worth it.
