Liked:Absolutely nothing, the host there was horrible, and very argumentative. She even broke into the place without our knowledge and moved our personal belongings. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

Disliked:As soon as we arrived, everything was a mess. Nothing was clean, from the kettle to the bathroom and the rooms. The entire place was dusty and the host’s personal items were scattered everywhere so actually there’s not enough space to even put our items. There’s more, every item we touched was already broken. The fridge was broken, the oven didn’t work for a couple days because that host actually turned everything off and there’s proof of her turning it back only after we asked persistently, the washing machine is not even safe to handle and use regularly, the door hangers are broken, even the bed ! Additionally the hot water was timed for one hour slot of the day! How is that even allowed for a family of 3 to only allow one hour of hot water a day?? There were so many opportunities the host could’ve told us through messages that the place was not to the basic standard we were expecting and instead she lied and promised us parking only to make it a whole ordeal once we arrived. If you think that was the worst of it, you’re wrong, the host actually used her personal key to the house and broke into the house whilst we were unaware and exploring the city, she had moved all our personal belongings and used area as she wishes and was very surprised to get caught when we came in and told her it was wrong to go inside without making us aware of it. She proceeded to scream at my mother and I and get very threatening towards us, we almost called the police before she stormed off and banged the door shut. It was horrifying to run and find my cat in the deepest corner because she was terrified of strangers. It was the most inconsiderate and appalling behaviour I ever experienced. What was even more disturbing was that she couldn’t care less that she traumatised my cat and could’ve let her escape by leaving the garden doors open. What a horrible stay! We immediately called booking.com after that incident and let them know.

Liked:The position of the cottage, being so close to the Abbey where I met my brother, and close to the restaurants where we ate together.

Disliked:If there were twin beds, I might be able to use it with other members of my family. Apart from that, it was fine.

Just the property I wanted

Liked:It was refreshing to find this homely property, after spending too much time in depressing grey places. The location was another bonus being so close to everything and loved it that I did not have to hunt round to turn off the Wi-Fi as sure the signal disrupts my sleep as well as being harmful, and not having it was another big reason why I chose the property. I thank the hosts for providing exactly the wonderful property I wanted and hope to return soon!
