very bad experience

Disliked:bad wifi noisy no window uncomfortable bed not too clean not clear instructions and the person incharge is not on top,, he answers late and he is not kind host leaves keys 4 blocks away from building and is anoying for a guest to have to walk with suitcases for host convenience

Creepy strange place, and it's a small room in a shared apartment, not a hotel.

Liked:It's right in the middle of Lapa just off the main street. The owner (in person) is a very friendly guy.

Disliked:Right after you book, you automatically get a pretty insane auto-response saying that by booking you have agreed to all of their rules (you didn't, they don't tell you this in advance) and that you will be watched by cameras and if you break the rules they will call the police on you! Totally crazy. When you arrive, there are signs posted everywhere about all the rules, and an alarming number of cameras. One day I came back and since I noticed the other guests left the outer door of the apartment unlocked (because it's the only apartment on that floor) I left it unlocked. The owner texted me asking me to lock the door and literally sent me a photo of myself entering the apartment! The other thing is that it's advertised kind of like a normal rental apartment, but you're renting a small room in a shared regular apartment with no kitchen, you could definitely get a lot more for your money. Also, the bed sheets are an uncomfortable artificial plastic material. The surveillance and everything make it feel like you're in a halfway house or a drug rehab or something.
