It was a huge disappointment-I left immediately and went to a nearby 4 star hotel for just 25% more

Liked:Nothing!

Disliked:The so-called single room with bathroom was not that at all - it was a small room with an enclosed toilet and a shower and basin in the room. It was NOT a private bathroom by any stretch of the imagination. The cupboard was very small and not very sturdy. The photographs on the website are very misleading. The premises looked "tired" and the only redeeming feature was the clean linen.

Disappointing

Liked:Bed was comfortable so had a good sleep

Disliked:we were told bow guest house was overbooked, so we were moved to the hotel next door, crown lodge. the man checking us in was lovely, however when we got to the room, it was very unclean. the shower was falling off the wall too. we came back from the festival at around midnight, we knocked at reception to ask about breakfast we had paid for the next day. the receptionist was asleep on the sofa in the dark, i understand needing rest but for reception to be open/ unlocked, we didn’t expect this. he had no idea wine breakfast was as it was booked next door, we luckily guessed 8am and managed to get it before it closed at 9am. breakfast was okay and they amended my breakfast to be vegetarian friendly. overall i wouldn’t stay at either again as it was unclean and unprofessional. i understand increasing the rates of a room for the festival, but i didn’t feel this was value for money at all.

Homely breakfasts and nice atmosphere

Liked:Staff were very kind and homely!!

Disliked:We were not aware the toilet was shared with another room in the corridor when we booked. Was not a problem though!

Good location with parking but not very clean

Liked:The bed was comfy, there was some free parking available at the property and it was a good location about 15 mins walk from the town centre

Disliked:The place wasn't clean and just needs some TLC. There was a layer of built up grime on every bathroom surface across multiple shared bathrooms. Everything has been bodged cheaply and could be really good value and more appealing with a deep clean, a few coats of paint and replacement of tired items e.g. rusted light fittings.
