Cleanliness9.0

Not specifically mentioned in reviews; assumed standard quality for this hotel tier.

Service7.7

Many guests praise attentive, friendly staff and standout entertainment team, but a serious refund/communication failure reported by one guest lowered the score.

Location9.5

Repeatedly praised: private beach, great views, short ride to Zona Romántica and a generally safe location.

Room Quality9.0

Rooms described as comfortable with beautiful views; some guests noted differences between newer and older towers which kept quality high overall.

Amenities9.6

Strongly positive mentions of multiple pools, private beach, lively entertainment (named staff), and family-friendly activities.

Value for Money9.0

Guests explicitly called it good value for a family resort and many felt the experience matched expectations.

Food and Beverage8.8

Food receives mostly favorable mentions (specific restaurant and dishes praised), though a few guests found the food only 'just ok' and popular venues can have waits.

Majority of reviews are highly positive about the resort, staff and activities; one significant negative experience around refunds tempered the otherwise excellent overall sentiment.

So bad

Liked:⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing experience. I have been waiting for my refund for a long time, and despite providing all the requested documents and contacting both the hotel and my bank, I still have not received my money. Communication has been slow, and I keep getting delays without a clear resolution or timeline. This has been very frustrating and has caused unnecessary stress. I expected much better customer service from Hyatt. I hope they resolve this issue immediately, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel until they improve how they handle refund cases.

A beautiful family resort

Liked:We went to Hyatt for the first time and our expectations were high. The resort is exceptional and the staff is amazing. While there are things that need some improvement, the staff was receptive and quick to fix them. The location is great as it is only a 5 minute Uber ride to Zona Romántica. Safety is great here as well and never felt unsafe. There are enough restaurants and you don't need to make dinner reservations, which is great. Downside is if you go to the most popular restaurant your wait will be greater. Staff was great, especially the ala carte cooks in the Vivaz buffet whose great personality and delicious seasoning keep us coming back. There were a few glitches, which I've made the hotel aware of. Overall they are extremely responsive to any needs. Not the best for couples. It is ideal for a family though. Definitely recommend and we would return.
