An adequate stay - it did its job and nothing more.

Liked:Good location for our needs.

Disliked:Under renovation, construction supplies and trash everywhere, limited parking. Our first floor room was right at the top of the stairs that come up from the underground parking - the gate to those stairs was frequently slamming shut (loudly), even in the middle of the night, often waking us up.

The room was dirty and uncomfortable, the property was run-down, and I didn’t feel safe.

Liked:The guys at the front desk were nice.

Disliked:Hi, this stay felt like staying at a Motel 6. The room was not very clean, the pillows were uncomfortable, and there was only one thin blanket, leaving me cold throughout the night. The bathtub drain was broken, and the tub floor was filthy. The refrigerator was not turned on, and there were no coffee supplies or cups in the room. There were also no opaque curtains for privacy, and the door was broken. The grounds were run-down, and I did not feel very safe. Overall, it was a horrible stay and fell far below my expectations.

Sadly, I will seek a different lodging on my next visit to Pasadena.

Liked:The air conditioner worked and the room was fairly clean. Location in old Town Pasadena is very nice with plenty of nearby restaurants and quiet neighborhoods.

Disliked:On two previous "stays" at the Pasadena Inn we were able to take advantage of a complimentary breakfast. Not this time. We had to ask for a second towel and wash cloth and, believe it or not, toilet paper. Apparently, the place is being renovated so early morning noise from work crews invaded our privacy. But, the most egregious aspect of this "stay" was that we were laden with a $100 "refundable" damage deposit for the rooms and we incurred no damage whatsoever. At the time of check-out no inference was made that we would NOT receive our refundable damage deposit. Upon return home while examining the room charges we found a $40 charge for "chair damage". As stated, we didn't cause any damage and left the room in immaculate condition. I called the front desk at the Pasadena Inn and asked to have a photo of the damage emailed to me and, of course, no damage photo was ever received. While $40 "extra" charge isn't overwhelming, it is the principle of the incident that is in question. This behavior on the part of the management is nothing less than fraud.
