Awesome hotel

Liked:This is my fourth time visiting California and it was such a memorable and enjoyable experience! Location in the heart of Pasadena, staff are friendly and accommodating. The ambience was very warm, cozy, and the rooms were nice. The whole experience felt very personalised. Special thanks to Anthony, he was very helpful and attentive! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy getaway. We’ll definitely be back.

Highs are high; lows are low

Liked:Lobby of the hotel has a great aesthetic. I wish I could say the same for the room's aesthetic. All contemporary furniture. We had the king room with partial pool view. The room was literally...a room. There was no separation between the shower/toilet area and the rest of the room. There were frosted glass doors for the shower and toilet. And that's it. They were completely exposed to the rest of the room. Wasn't expecting that. The pool itself was great (and the main reason why we were there). However, there were many things that weren't so great. - Only had an attendant serving drinks Fri-Sun until 5:30p. If you want a drink on a weekday, you need to wait until the bar in the lobby opens at 4:30p to get your own drinks. - No attendants to clean up after messy guests. Got to the pool mid-afternoon and there were cups and beer cans littered all over the place (the ground, planters, tables). No one to clean up after the lazy guests, so there were a bunch wet towels on the lounge chairs throughout the area. It makes it hard to tell what lounges are taken. - Not sure if the lack of staff is due to the season though. The food we ordered through room service was great. Service was excellent when calling in our order and the delivery. Our room had a little tiny balcony. I wish there was a small table and chair out there, as the views were great.
