Liked:Beautiful building and lovely room with private bathroom. Relaxing and serene, garden views from the bedroom, with friendly staff, both staff members I met had excellent English and were so helpful.

Disliked:The bed is very traditional and harder than I prefer but this was minor and I had a great stay.

An oasis of calm and historical charm

Liked:Full of character, beautiful details, excellent value and warm hospitality. View of the courtyard garden at breakfast or from the family room balcony. Family room has own toilet and wash basin. Baths and showers are downstairs in shared area but I never had to wait to use it and it was always spotless. My favourite stay from 2 months of travel around Japan!
