Liked:Large room with comfortable double bed ( 2 twins together), good hot shower and excellent WiFi. Buffet breakfast was OK, maybe more choices for Westerners. Pool is clean but quite small with only about 6 beds and the busy road backs on to.it.

Disliked:One side of the hotel backs onto wasteland on the edge of town

Liked:The best thing about Hotel Rigel is definitely its location. It is perfectly situated within walking distance of both the beach and the city center, which was very convenient. However, that is unfortunately where the positives end. Aside from the location, the rest of the stay was quite disappointing.

Disliked:The entire hotel is filthy and has a pungent odor. There is dust, grime, and mold everywhere—in the rooms and the corridors. The AC was so dirty and smelly that we couldn't use it; we had to leave the window open and pray for a breeze. Communication was difficult as the staff speaks very little English (thankfully I understand Russian, which was the only way to communicate). To make matters worse, there are electrical issues—every time the fridge cycled on or off, there was a loud pop in the wall and the ceiling lights flickered. On top of that, the building is old and constantly creaks and cracks. I definitely wouldn't stay here again."

Good value for money if rude staff and and drty passageways don’t bother you.

Liked:Close to the beach. Wonderful breakfast.
