Great Stay

Liked:Sandro, the young man who runs the place is a prince of a person! Very kind, sincere and accommodating. He is the best. Great AC, comfy beds, good kitchen. Good TV and internet, parking etc...Five minute walk to very good Italian restaurant Insolito , pizza and other dishes. Be sure to book ahead. And there's a good Georgian restaurant Tiflis two blocks away -- good food and nice people. Try the dumplings l. You won't be disappointed.

We had a great stay in Naples but that was because we spent most of the time out of the flat.

Liked:Central location. Nice staff, Sandro was very welcoming!

Disliked:Lots! The flat needs maintenance. The toilet seat was half unscrewed, the flush on the point of breaking. The cooking gas did not work properly and whan it did, you had to keep pressing the lighter to keep it on. The bed side light did not work. The kitchen was so minimal that it would be impossible to cook there, no tea towel, one teaspoon for 2 people, 1 teabag and 2 nescafé bags etc. on top, when we arrived, we could not pay by card and were asked to pay cash which we did not want to do. So the ppor guy at the reception had to spend a few days fixing the machine so we could pay by credit card. In short, the flat was a quite a disappointment.

Liked:Close to everything. Clean apartament with good termic isolation.

Disliked:Noisy. Power and gas shutdown. No garbage bags. No proper insulation at the shower.

Liked:The location is great - on the edge of the historic city center and near two major metro lines. The best thing about the apartment is the strong air conditioning that keeps the room nice and cold in the hellishly hot Naples weather. The rooms are renovated but have some shortcomings.

Disliked:This part of town is incredibly dirty with trash all over the roads and sidewalks. It does feel a little unsafe although we had no incidents in our five day stay. The major problem with our room was that the main door did not close properly. If you close the door as you normally would they don't latch and have to be forcefully shoved to close. Also we tried locking the door to avoid this problem but the lock got stuck in a locked position. I somehow managed to unlock it and then noticed scratches on the knob suggesting that someone before us had the same problem and probably had to use pliers to free themselves. Another thing that irritated me was the TV. First day we noticed that the remote does not work as it was missing a battery. I notified the host about this and he said he would bring us some spare batteries but never did. Later I noticed that the TV does not have an antenna so I did not press the issue further since we could not watch the TV anyways. For some reason the gas stovetop did not work. This could be because I did not know how to turn it on but I doubt it because I've used gas stovetops before. No matter what I tried it was just clicking and didn't light and there was no gas smell. Also I think it's important to mention that we booked a room that was advertised as having a balcony but were given a room without one.
