Guest Reviews

What Guests Say

8.1

Excellent

2,088 reviews

Highlights

+Excellent location near main train station
+Friendly and accommodating staff (luggage storage available)
+Clean rooms and comfortable beds reported by several guests
+Good, homemade/continental breakfast options
+Good value for money
+In-house/traditional restaurant and local character (Neapolitan posters, music)

Could Improve

–Language barrier: many staff speak mainly Italian
–Room maintenance issues: leaking shower, broken door lock, noisy fuse box
–Noise from street and adjacent building reported at night
–Amenities shortcomings: no safety deposit box, elevator requires coins, occasional AC malfunction
–Occasional confusion about reception location (reception in café for some guests)

Cleanliness8.4

Multiple reviews explicitly mention the hotel was clean or 'spotlessly clean' and 'lindo lugar y muy limpio', though one guest reported noise and a ticking fuse box that affected perceived room comfort.

Service7.8

Staff are often described as friendly and helpful, able to store luggage and assist with check-in; however there are recurring notes about language barriers (staff mainly Italian) and at least one report of an unprofessional repair visit.

Location9.4

Repeatedly praised as very close to the main train station and convenient for transport and sites; location is the strongest positive across reviews.

Room Quality7.0

Mixed comments: comfortable beds and some spacious rooms, but multiple negatives (shower leaking/unusable, broken door lock, noisy street, basic/small rooms) lower this score.

Amenities7.6

Some useful amenities (luggage storage, in-building restaurant) and functional AC in some reports, but issues noted: elevator requires coins, no safety deposit box, and at least one non-working exterior AC unit.

Value for Money8.0

Several guests call it good value or 'great value' for the price and location; budget, not luxury, but meets expectations for cost—score tempered by room/amenity issues.

Food and Beverage8.5

Breakfast repeatedly described positively (homemade, buffet options, yogurt/fruit/pastries) though one guest reported limited selection and noisy breakfast room.

Overall Experience8.1

General impression is positive due to location, cleanliness, friendly staff and value; negatives (noise, some maintenance issues, language barrier) keep the overall experience near the target rating.

I liked this place and would return despite the shower issue

Liked:It was a characteristic place, very convenient for the station and I loved that there was a traditional pizza restaurant in the building. I really liked all the Neapolitan film posters and cultural references and they played great music in the restaurant!

Disliked:My shower leaked badly and couldn’t be used. A guy came to my room to deal with it but his attitude towards me wasn’t very professional or helpful.
