Terrific time all round, highly reccommend

Liked:We booked this place fairly last minute and with little knowledge and were really impressed with the stunning location and setting. Low season meant excellent value and was quite quiet. We did a day long boat private snorkel tour (arranged ourselves) around the island and it was our highlight. The hotel staff were friendly and most spoke excellent English. Can snorkel right out the front. The pools were lovely and clean. It’s awat from the main town area so no noise at night. We had a terrific time!

Disliked:The beds are quite firm but most beds in Thailand seem to be like this. Firm beds and huge pillows. We booked a family room and felt a little uncomfortable that our children had to go outside to then come to our room. The cost of Taxis on Koh Tao are very expensive (we live in the most expensive town in New Zealand and the taxi’s are even more expensive dive than where we come from) Most people use motor bikes but I wasn’t comfortable to ride one with a child so had to use taxi’s. The hotel offers some included transfers but more times would have been useful. Perhaps there was less times offered as we stayed in low season? (Oct 2026).

Nice but you need to be a gym junkie to cope with this one

Liked:The resort is beautiful. We stayed in treasure hillside room with private pool. The general staff ( cleaners, front desk, bell boys, gardeners etc) were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked:However be prepared for a full workout anytime you need to leave your room. The restaurant, pools, bars are all on the bottom level of the resort. If you are in the higher rooms you will have a very steep 300m climb down or up every time. There is no easy way up. Its a killer. If you are young and fit, no problem but middle aged and up you will struggle. We had rats running around on our patios every night No wifi for 2 days and communication was very poor from staff No smoking in any public areas at the resort, you have little designated smoking areas. No smoking around pools either. If you are a non smoker you will like this rule but for the smokers you will end up just staying in your room in the clouds because it is just too hard here and you are made to feel like a leper if you smoke. Upper management was rude, no smiling at guests or making you feel welcome. We were glad to head back to Samui.

Liked:The hotel is really nice and the properties are clean overall. The room we booked was really clean, spacious and had lots of natural light. It’s true that to access the room you need to walk up very steep hill but we knew about it and it was worth it, knowing that the view from our balcony was really beautiful. The breakfast was okay as well, they had a lot of different choices. The staff was always very friendly. They have a free shuttle service several times a day if you don’t have a scooter.

Disliked:There was a bad small coming from the bathroom every time we showered which was not really pleasant. Also, the AC unit was not functioning properly. The remote control wasn’t working every time and we had to try multiple times to just turn it off or come really close to it.

Great stay would recommend to close ones!

Liked:The room was wonderful, nice and spacious with its own deck area - really great for having your own drinks. Staff were amazing - by the time we left, the kitchen staff new our orders. Snorkeling off the lower area is great, so great having somewhere that close! Would 100% stay again. Guaranteed leg workouts getting around the accomodation haha.

Disliked:There wasn't much to dislike, if i had to choose something it would be its quite isolated but with that came more privacy so cant complain.
