Great hotel on the best beach cove in Isla Mujeres

Liked:The hotel has been renovated and upgraded. I have stayed here several times over the past 9 years. The hotel lobby & reception has been upgraded. Room access improved. The pool area has been updated. The bushes cut. All very nice. View onto one of the nicest beach coves on Isla Mujeres. Location to town less than 10 minutes walk. Awesome.

Only stay here if you are on a strict budget!!

Liked:First off….the pictures on this site are from when the hotel first opened many years ago! This place is NOTHING at all like these pictures. Room is clean, very dated and has the bare minimum. Take your own soap, towels ( if you require one for your hair) shampoo/conditioner, travel steamer/iron, hair dryer, as none of this is supplied. We were able to ck out a hair dryer at the desk; however, it is 1 towel per person. They are strict about that! Our safe was out of Titanic era and didn’t work. Doors still have old time keys!! The pool was like bath water, but very clean. Breakfast you have to walk a half mile to get there and there’s juice, coffee and toast! They have some kind of set up w a restaurant. Beware, if you go let your server know even after you hand him your hotel ticket, because they hand you a menu and if you order you also get a bill. We didn’t waste our time we went to North Garden!
