Generally fantastic, opt for a room without a sofa bed if you have kids.

Liked:The staff were great at this hotel and the pool and hot tub were a fun bonus. Our room was huge and the main bed was very comfortable. There were two TVs. We used the breakfast area to have supper and play cards. Great location for visiting the lovely downtown area, which has a great bookshop, a very cute clothes shop and a fantastic art gallery.

Disliked:The breakfast wasn’t as varied as other Holiday Inns we’ve stayed at - no eggs, for instance. The AC was either freezing and noisy or ineffective. The sofa bed our children slept on sloped and was uncomfortable. However, apparently the mattresses for these will be replaced October 2026.

It is doubtful we would stay at the facilities again on our next scheduled trip to Hood River.

Liked:Location and facilities were fine.

Disliked:Initial contact with front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful within the posted check in times. The fitness room smelled musty and unclean so I did not use it. To top it off, our bathroom shower was unclean and had hair gathered in the drain. There were no cleaning staff available to clean it. We ended up cleaning the shower ourselves with supplies provided by Felicia, the front desk staff. (She was the shining light of the stay!!) I booked the room through a third party for a regular room well in advance with rooms still available but were placed in a ADA room. When asked if we could be moved, the answer was “we’re full.
