Unprofessional staff. Old villas in disrepair and not in a condition for rental to customer.

Liked:The location of the property in Grand Baie was convenient. Parking space for the villas was good. Other than that little else was up to standard.

Disliked:Biggest problem is villa did NOT match the pictures in Booking.com. The layout of the villas inside (kitchen relative to living room etc), the furnishings and critically outdoor pool furniture were all different than what the photos had shown. When we requested a villa which did match the photos, that is when real problems began. We were given an alternative villa but (1) had to wait until 17h to check-in it - an early check-in time of 11 am had earlier been agreed; normal check-in time was 3 pm - we waited in our car in the car parking lot for hours (2) lounging/outdoor seating next to pool was infested with ants both in the cushion and inside the underneath support (3) no blow dryer (even when informed of this, they insisted a blow dryer was in the masterbathroom, even after we sent them a photo showing only item in the bathroom sink cabinet was a partially used box of sanitary napkins (4) the kettle had plug which didn't match socket in kitchen wall and (5) overall condition, cleanliness of villas very plainly substandard (in showers, glass panels were bad scratched not just dirty, as acknowledged by hotel itself. But ultimately the worse is when we requested the above to be remedied, the responses were adequate (ex we do not have a water hose in the entire property to rinse away the ants on the outdoors seating, we do have a Karcher but only the male staff are permitted to use and they are now off for the day"- 4 pm) late (5 to 7 chaser calls to check-in while they were "refreshing" our villa), impolite (insisted on inspecting our villa before we checked out even though we were leaving for the airport at 6 am). Normally I use Expedia or Airbnb. This is first time with Booking.com and frankly if the threshold issue is not resolved - pictures on website does not match actual villas - its hard to see how anyone could have the confidence to book through this site. Price of our villas was around Euro350 per night.
