Worst Hotel Ever

Liked:This is hands down the most disgusting Hilton I’ve ever stayed in. This place hasn’t been updated in decades. The carpets are so gross. Every door is full of dents, the water doesn’t get hot only really warm. The bath tubs are so old and gross. I rented an apartment and I don’t even want to cook in it. Such a waste of money. The pictures are nothing like reality. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! If you are having a procedure done at Duke and need to be here for a little while, get an Air BnB. This place is a dump and a breeding ground for bacteria.

The Great & Meh

Liked:So I’ve read the most recent reviews and there is a lot of truth to them… The hotel is pretty “tired” and needs to start renovating/updating the rooms and hallways. The lobby is very nice. And the basics of rooms are ok-just needs fresh paint, carpet, couch/chairs… What prompted me to write was the person working the breakfast. Her name was Tanya. She was a bright ray of sunshine! She was very positive/upbeat! She hustled the entire time I sat there-refilling food, cleaning tables, etc. When someone would ask her for something not readily available, she would try to accommodate the guest-and she did it with a smile! Don’t lose her!!! All-in-all, the hotel is fine for a night and the price… and Tanya is the gem!

Absolutely disgusting.

Liked:I’m This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was filthy—not just worn or outdated, but downright unsanitary. There were roaches in the room. That alone should’ve been enough to pack up and leave immediately. The carpets in the hallway and in the room were stained and nasty. The floors clearly hadn’t been swept or vacuumed—not just in my room, but throughout the hotel. When we first got in the elevator, there was visible dirt and debris on the floor. We left for almost nine hours, came back, and the same dirt was still there. No one had touched it. That tells you everything you need to know about the cleanliness standards here. The curtains were filthy, covered in dust and stains. Nothing in the room felt clean or safe to touch. I didn’t want to sit down, let alone sleep there. When I brought this to the hotel’s attention, I was told there were no other rooms available. Honestly, it wouldn’t have mattered—I wouldn’t have stayed another night in this place regardless. Do not stay here. It’s not just uncomfortable—it’s a health hazard.

Sewage poured from the ceiling!

Liked:We had a two night reservation for a two-bedroom suite with two bathrooms. Approximately 9PM on the second night, sewage began to pour from the ceiling of one of the two bathrooms. The ceiling light fixture blew out and smelly water began to puddle in the floor and run out the bathroom door. When reported to management, their solution was to have the family bunk together in a one-bedroom king suite, although they did confirm that two king rooms were available. Apparently it is against the franchise owner's policy to offer reasonable solutions, even to Diamond level Hilton guests. Fortunately, the Hilton Diamond Member desk recognized that their "offer" was absurb and placed into accomodations in a nearby Home2 suites.
