Nice, but under construction

Liked:Was there for a huge baseball tournament a couple weeks back. Location of hotel is great, hilltop with awesome views. When we arrived we realized that half of the resort was under construction. Like major construction!!! Rooms are very nice and the pool was nice as well. Fire pits out on the cliffside were great. Staff was great. Only complaint was the prices for drinks at the bar. I ordered a beer in a plastic but and was told it was $20. I am not a cheap person, but that is ridiculous. Other than that, once construction is completed, this place will be hard to beat.

Do not stay here while still under major renovation/construction - it's a dirty stinky mess at high prices.

Liked:When making the hotel reservation it was noted there is renovation being done, however the extent of major heavy construction work being done literally outside your patio door is very understated. The dirt, trash and sewer smell prevented any use of the balcony or patio, all while paying full price for the rooms. It was the worst hotel experience I've had in 50 years of traveling.

Not worth it

Liked:This place is not worth the price! It’s so run down and disgusting. The bathroom was leaking water from the shower to point where our bathroom floor was flooding. When I turned on the sink, it smelled like sewage. They didn’t service our room and when I asked about it, they said they would send someone in an hour but no one ever came. Our room was never serviced and all the wet towels were just left there. The entire check in process was so long and they seem short staffed.

Construction Woes

Liked:Don’t go here while it’s under construction! It’s a HUGE construction project, not “enhancements”. It’s noisy during the day, crazy traffic for pedestrians and cars. And, brace yourself for $50 parking + $50 breakfast. (Wish the hotel would waive these fees to offset the construction issues.) Staff tried to hard to mitigate, but it’s a serious challenge to relax and have a family gathering.
