Comfy hotel with loads of character and great staff

Liked:Great staff (made the hotel car available to drop off and collect my daughter from hospital when she was not feeling well). Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely swimming pool (nice and cool to freshen you up after a day in the sun. The pool does not get much sun).

Disliked:The showers were the only slight negative I have on the hotel. Not great pressure and never really got same temperature for long.

Good first time stay in Chiang Mai

Liked:Nice small hotel with comfortable rooms and decent enough breakfast. Appreciated the 24 hour reception and breakfast packs we got before our trip to the airport. Location quite central close to lots of shops, restaurants and temples.

Disliked:Floors were a bit slippery so be careful and pool was small (and sometimes busy) but refreshing.

Liked:Viangluang is incredibly special. It has a deep, historic, calm & tranquillity. I loved my very large bed & room, the bath, the secluded garden outside my room, and the privacy. Just outside the resort is Sunday Walking Street, restaurants, temples - it is close to everything. I really liked being able to get 1st coffee to take back to my room, then go back for a full delicious breakfast when I was ready. The staff do a great job.

The atmosphere and location was great.

Liked:Awesome location. Great rooms and atmosphere. Very helpful staff.

Disliked:Breakfast was unappealing. Would have expected more fruit for example. No elevator. Not an issue for us but worth mentioning to those who might need that service.
