Albufeira appartment

Liked:Beautiful appartment, clean, good location. Everything supplied for a self catering holiday.

Disliked:When I booked it was listed as being on the ground floor. It's on the second floor with no lift, fine if you don't have 2 small children and a pushchair. Only 1 key was a disaster because you had to put the attached fob into a console for electric. This meant we had to go down 2 flights of stairs every time to let the rest of of the family in because we couldn't take the key and put it in the lockbox, and if it was later in the evening get up out of bed. I brought this up twice directly with the letting agents and was told we could only have 1 key for security reasons. Great showers but the drains were not able to cope with the water. In fairness they sent a maintenance man to make sure there was no blockage but he told us to turn down the pressure of the water of the showers

Liked:The company contacted me through watts app 2 weeks prior to the stay numerous times. So on the day of check inn , I couldn’t find my check in instructions on watts app . We tried connecting the team but it was out of hours. We contacted booking.com and they had no instructions of how to enter the property either so they proceeded to cancel the booking of which left us stranded in Portugal at 11:30pm . After checking in to hotel for the night at our expense , the team contacted me and had emailed me the check in instructions of which I hadn’t thought of checking during to the 2 week conversation on watts app. I offered to still check in to the accommodation of which they said it had been cancelled and I would have to re book this at my expense and also lose my previous payment . Due to their poor customer service and no understanding of their fault in this matter I went back to booking.com and explained the confusion and they kindly refunded me the full amount and we were able to book somewhere else and enjoy our holiday .

Disliked:The flat was good for what was needed. However the ceiling in the utility room fell through. This lead to us unable to use any of the washing facilities which we understand was no fault of the company however they offered us compensation of 10% which was never send. After many messages to them they said the money had been sent however that money has never arrived and it has been 3 months. This is unacceptable as the facilities we were promised were not met so very unhappy with the service.
