A peaceful oasis outside of Bacalar.

Liked:A little hut on the waterfront with direct access to the lagoon which was clean and blue. We spent four nights here and used the free kayaks on two days and swam in the little beach section on the last day. The view is beautiful and you can lay on deck chairs or in a hammock. The shower has plenty of hot water and the shared facilities were very clean. The air conditioning in the hut worked well. Los Rápidos was a 10min drive away and was very crowded because it was Good Friday. Bacalar town was a 15 minute drive and we took a 4 hour sailing tour from there. The village that the property is in is small but there is a little supermarket and we also ate bbq food from stalls on the main road. A car is helpful in this location. A basic breakfast is provided and the fruit is good. Israel (the proprietor) is a lovely man. We cooked in the shared kitchen and bottled water is available. Overall, it was a lovely local experience and other Mexican families were in surrounding waterfront properties enjoying the Easter weekend. Thank you Israel and to the lovely seniorita who made breakfast.

Disliked:Maybe an electric kettle in the shared kitchen could be good for the tea drinkers ☕️

Amazing, Quiet Location. Fantastic Staff!

Liked:Absolutely phenomenal stay! Such a wonderful quiet location and the staff was so friendly! Great escape from the bustle of Bacalar. The breakfast was great, and it was an added bonus to have use of the fridge.

Disliked:The group of French "influencers" that made the staff wait 30 mins to serve them breakfast while the did a workout video in front of the whole hotel. I was embarrassed for them.

Disliked:If you come prepared with snacks and items for lunch, and understand that Xul Ha is a very small village with limited places to eat / shop, you will have the best time ever.

We would definitely stop by again if we were in the area.

Liked:Pepos is a great place to get away from the tourists and traffic of Cancun or Tulum. Just a super relaxing place to hang out and enjoy the view. The concierge team was amazing. He made us feel like family.

Disliked:Whats not to like?
