Very worst experience

Disliked:Staff was very rude and impolite. There is no parking when we check in. An unimaginable experience we faced. Restrooms are not at all clean. The floor is unhygienic, and there is a small amount of dust beneath the beds. There are no toiletries. Restroom water smells like a rotting thing.

Surprise! We’re NOT Accessible!

Liked:Let me start by saying I am a wheelchair user. When I arrived to check in, I discovered two steps leading to the check in desk. The clerk had to run back & forth between me & the desk to check me in. He informed me that there was no housekeeping. That shocked me. What kind of a hotel doesn’t have housekeeping, especially in Victoria, a popular tourist destination?!? Once checked in, he took me outside & into a courtyard. Around the side was a ramp in a hidden alcove. This was the only way for me to access the building. There was no automatic door opener, so I had to wrestle with the door. My room was on the 2nd floor. I discovered that rather than giving me a room off the main hall, I had to go to the very end of the hall to find the door for my room hidden in a narrow hallway. It was a tight squeeze to get to my room. There was a second room with the door right next to mine. Traveling solo, this didn’t make me feel safe. Once inside, I realized that my room was in no way accessible. I couldn’t even get my wheelchair into the bathroom! Because of the layout there was nowhere for me to park my chair at night to charge it, other than right behind the door, which blocked the exit. I also discovered that the room had no A/C. Instead there was a pedestal fan. I looked out the windows & my view was the rooftop of the hotel. My window had been left open, so I closed it. The next day was the start of the medical conference I was attending. I returned to the hotel at 9:30pm & discovered the courtyard gate locked, leaving me unable to access the ramp to enter the building. I went into the lobby & it took some time to get the clerk’s attention. (I was calling him from the bottom of the stairs.) Eventually he heard me & I explained my problem. He told me they locked it for security. After letting me in, he locked the gate behind me. This was unsafe because if there was an emergency, my only way to evacuate was blocked by this gate being locked. When I got to my room, I realized that the window I had closed the night before had been opened, so despite there being no housekeeping, someone had been in my room. I had closed the window for safety reasons so this upset me. Who was in my room & why? While the sheets & towels were clean, this hotel gets an EPIC FAIL for a complete lack of accessibility. It’s 2026-DO BETTER!! I had someone who works for the fire department call & ask about accessibility after I got home & they were told they didn’t have any accessible rooms. I paid $663 for a 2 night stay. Absolutely ridiculous given the circumstances. Honestly I feel like they owe me a refund for all the unexpected cr@p I had to deal with. It was an absolute ripoff. They did absolutely nothing to try & make my stay easier for me. They have no clue how to treat disabled guests & the lack of accessibility shows they simply don’t care. If you’re disabled in any way, don’t even think about staying here.
