Liked:Really great location by the malecon with so many cafes and restaurants in walking distance. The staff were so kind and helpful. I really appreciated the concierge Rey, he asked about my stay and then made sure there was a taxi ready for me very early in the morning for me to get to the airport on time!! The hotel is older and simple but clean and comfortable, I had a good stay here!

Disliked:They had the parking lot 2 blocks away from the hotel. You gotta stamp the ticket and we never received instructions on any of this. Instead we had to walk 2 times in rhe heat. Services has many areas of opportunity. Hotel is more simple than its price.

Liked:Friendly, helpful staff. We needed to store some purchases and they were very helpful with that, and with loading the taxi when it was time to leave. I appreciated the historic displays in the lobby which were captioned in both Spanish and English. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The wait staff was attentive. The breakfast area was bright and cheerful. The room was small, but it was clean, the linens were fresh, and the housekeeping staff were extremely helpful when I needed emergency help with something. The in-room coffee was exceptionally smooth and delicious. I liked the areas where the historic character of the Hotel were maintained, such as the lovely floors, and the doors to the rooms.

Disliked:I have very few complaints. There were a few areas where tile was chipped, but I imagine maintaining a historic property is an ongoing effort. In no place was this a problem in terms of sanitation or safety.

Liked:This hotel is very nice. It is an older property, so please do not expect shiny new rooms. But it is comfortable, and the location in the historical center is stunning. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy Veracruz.
