Liked:Dar Saïd est un véritable havre de paix, un lieu où le temps semble ralentir. Tout y invite à la sérénité. Le personnel, toujours souriant et attentionné, rend chaque instant agréable, tandis que la maîtresse de maison veille avec une bienveillance sincère à ce que l’on s’y sente comme chez soi. Une adresse pleine de charme que l’on quitte avec l’envie d’y revenir.

Liked:A quiet stunning hotel with beautiful gardens and great pool area and Hammam, but it was also really close to the main street with lots of small traditional shops and restaurants. The staff were so genuinely lovely, no request was a problem, they let us have the room all day on our last day as we had a late flight. The breakfast was so varied and the best I ve ever had. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the beach and uphill on way back. There is a supermarket at the bottom of the Main Street near the mosque roundabout and again a little hill back up but you can stop and look at the shops or buy something to eat. The museum is worth a visit. Carthage and Tunis nearby and taxis take you and wait. Only a couple of restaurants sell alcohol, Dar Zarrock have amazing cocktails and the best food was at Au Bon vieux temps. There is a good atmosphere at cafe de delices and best mint tea at Bleue. We absolutely loved our time at Dar Said and so will you, fantastic traditional hotel with amazing staff.

A traditional hotel with great service

Liked:In the heart of Sidi Bou Said just off of the main shopping and eating street. Lots of people and activities going on right outside but quiet inside. The pool was nice for a dip and the breakfast was quite nice. We had an early tour and were allowed to grab items to go while breakfast was being set up. The gardens and view from gardens was colorful as well. Slept comfortably and AC cooled room down after long day.

Disliked:Liked everything! Note: Its important to make sure any taxi or tour operator knows the area for easy pick up and drop off. Ours did so it wasn’t an issue but could be. Also to get to the property from Main Street is a short uphill and stairs which could be rough if mobility is an issue.
