Quiet pension with good ac, small and simple rooms

Liked:Small pension, close to Santa Cruz district with bars and restaurants close by yet set on a quiet street. Very good and quiet ac. Very clean.

Disliked:Reception closes at 10pm and a flight delay caused me to arrive at 10.30pm, despite informing the pension around 3pm everything was locked and in darkness when I arrived, I had only 2% phone battery and no entry instructions had been sent to me prior to arrival. I phoned the non English speaking emergency number and after a very muddled conversation details were sent on WhatsApp, but it was dark and my phone was dying. Non of this was necessary if instructions had been sent earlier in the day. There was almost no lighting on the top floor resulting in my tumbling down a 6" step on the landing and then into my room due to a plank of wood nailed across the doorway. These things need to be corrected and cost little.
