Liked:The owners encouraged us to make ourselves at home and that was easy to do here! The house is extremely well stocked. Everything we needed while abroad was there. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook meals as well as the coffee selection! We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna while looking for northern lights. The beds were extremely comfortable. Stairs upstairs are a little steep but the locking gate at the top put us at ease with children there. We would absolutely stay here again.

Overall a nice home we would stay at again

Liked:Lovely, clean home with lots of beds, fully equipped kitchen, wraparound deck. Full bathroom amenities and loads of towels.

Disliked:There are no trash cans in either of the bathrooms, which seemed odd. However, there were large-sized trash bags available, which we hung in each. Instructions for throwing away garbage at the end of the stay were confusing and inaccurate, causing us to have to go back to the house and just leave the bags there, since we did not hear from the host until well after we had left. The house has a couple of lights which cannot be turned off (as far as 5 of us could figure out). The neighbors also have a bright outdoor light that remains on, making it harder to see the northern lights. Overall though, a nice home, and the 5 of us would stay there again.

Stunning home in a beautiful setting.

Liked:Such a beautiful home in a wonderful setting. The best stocked house we have ever stayed in from towels to shampoos and shower gels, to spices, teabags and kitchenware. The most comfortable beds in a lovely cosy yet massive home. Fantastic games room with darts, table tennis and pool table. Hot tub and sauna on site.

Disliked:Stairs to first floor are quite steep but seem to be the way in Iceland.

Liked:The location is absolutely amazing, so serene, remote and scenic; yet, it is very close to Selfoss so you have easy access to markets, restaurants and gas stations. The cabin is very spacious and easily accommodated our group of 10 people comfortably. We would definitely stay here again on our future trips to Iceland.

Disliked:The stairs to the upstairs loft are a bit steep, so take caution! There was some difficulty communicating with the staff to get the gate opened to access the community upon our arrival. In addition, you have to use the one phone that was provided to open the gate during your stay, which was a little inconvenient when trying to coordinate access for multiple cars to enter at different times.
