Excellent location, if you’re here to go clubbing

Liked:This is a great location, right above a bakery and a cafe. The beds and the couch are very comfortable. He’s put in new, larger TVs and blazing fast internet. Both showers are large. All of the appliances worked well, large fridge, oven, washer and dryer. Plenty of room in the kitchen with new coffee pot and kettle. He left us coffee, salt/pepper and some oil. However, cooking is a bit tricky as there isn’t much kitchenware. The air conditioner is only in the living room, and there are no windows in either bedroom, but he does provide several fans. Heat is provided by portable propane tanks that you wheel around the room. Unfortunately, the second bedroom is too small to safely accommodate the heater (plus there is no dresser in there for any clothes). If coming in the winter time, bring some warmer clothes, as it was down to 17 degrees in the mornings.

Disliked:There is a new nightclub that opened next door (doesn’t even show up on Google Maps yet). It opens at 9:30 and plays thumpa thump music until 4am. We measured it at 84 decibels in the house. And while earplugs help, you can feel it shake your bones. It became impossible to stay so we left. Unfortunately, we paid for 21 nights and could only stay for 8. The owner would not authorize a partial refund. This would be a great place for a bachelorette party, but if you want a quiet, more authentic experience, look for the Guadalupe or San Antonio neighborhoods. They are still very walkable to Centro.
