Canceled before arrival

Disliked:I didn't like that they canceled my reservation before my check in time. The lady that called me wanted me to give her my credit card # over the phone. I declined and said could i go to the website and provide it. Her response was "I guess". I told her I would and that I would still arrive at my approved time which was 5-6 pm local time. I was driving in with my grandkids from Arizona. At the time we were about 2 hours away. I hit town and get an email saying my reservation was canceled! I of course was upset and had to find another room quickly. Which fortunately I did. I am a Hilton member and have never been treated this way at any other locations. Very disappointing.
