Liked:The place doesn’t cost much, but you get a spacious apartment in a prime location with uncompromising comfort. Everyone got a comfortable mattress, which completely avoided unnecessary arguments over beds. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need—glasses, plates, cutlery, and more. Bottom line, a great apartment!

cosy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay

Liked:We had a wonderful stay at the Old Green House in Iceland! 🏡💚 The house was very cosy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the location—it was within walking distance of almost everywhere, which made it easy for us to explore the city centre. There were plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and the coast was also close enough for a lovely walk. We even managed to spot the Northern Lights from the coast, which was such a magical experience! ✨💚 The location was also very convenient for public transportation, with several bus stops nearby and easy access to different parts of the city. A little tip for future guests: don’t be alarmed by the slightly unusual smell when you first turn on the faucet. 😄 It’s the sulfur smell associated with Iceland’s geothermal water. The cold tap water is perfectly safe to drink and is wonderfully fresh—much like the drinking water we’re used to here in Norway. 💧🇮🇸🇳🇴 A special thank you to Vladimir for being so prompt in responding to our messages. He was very accommodating, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Old Green House to anyone visiting Iceland. 🇮🇸❤️

Disliked:Very difficult to find this property. We asked 3 different natives for help before we finally got to the room.

Liked:We really liked the location. Quiet historical area. Just a short walk to many restaurants. We rented a car for 2 days. A parking garage was just 1 block away, which was very convenient.

Disliked:For 3 adults it was very cramped when the sleeper couch was opened up. We had no soup spoons but 8 forks and knives. We only had 2 teaspoons to eat our oatmeal. The 3rd person had to use a fork! The handle of the entry door was very loose and already missing a screw. Luckily we had a Swiss Army knife to tighten the handle. The pillows were very flat. The silicone (grouting) in the shower is very moldy and should be replaced.
