Beware!

Liked:Resort is pleasant looking but showing signs of neglect. We paid $8000CA for a small studio room for a week and had a bathroom sink that was cracked in half. The “breakfast included” was a joke. At 8:30-9:00am there was one piece of fruit left and a few pieces of pastry. If you consider breakfast to be a box of cereal with milk, then this is your place. They offer a 5% discount if you book directly through their website, which we did. When I checked out, I asked why they didn’t honour my 5% discount and they said it was because I didn’t “mention it” when I checked in and it was too late on check out. 🙄 The resort must be very low on funds if they have to rip off their guests with such a lame and deceitful scam. My advice, go across the street and stay at Ocean Club West. It is much nicer and much more professional, right on the beach. We won’t be back to Villa Del Mar.

Liked:Great experience, location, grounds and cleanliness. Oliver at the front desk he was very helpful with restaurant recommendations directions very courteous and friendly really made us feel at home. We will definitely return

Relaxing, Affordable (for Turks and Caicos) Stay

Liked:Loved our stay at Villa del Mar. We split our time between the Windsong further down but directly on the beach. Glad we also gave this place a try. The walk to the beach access was super short but made for a more affordable stay. Tons of shopping and restaurants to try within easy walking distance. Delightful poolside breakfast every morning.

Shhh don’t let this gem get too exposed

Liked:We stayed at Villas Del Mar at the end of November for a quick five-night getaway, and after reading so many amazing reviews beforehand, I was honestly curious if it could really live up to the hype. It almost sounded too good to be true. Well… let me tell you—it’s not a dream. It’s reality. This place is absolutely spectacular. I almost didn’t want to write this review because a selfish part of me wanted to keep this gem to myself so it never gets too busy. But the team here truly deserves the recognition. The staff are incredible, friendly, and genuinely helpful without ever being pushy. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the restaurant district, with tons of great dining options all within walking distance. The property itself is beautiful, the pool is great, and the simple complimentary breakfast is the perfect start to each day. The beach access is amazing, and the service there deserves its own shout-out. The gentleman who runs the beach with his twin brothers (good luck telling them apart 😄) were fantastic. They don’t pester you—they just make sure you’re comfortable, set you up with a great spot, bring water, and help when you ask. They even helped book an excursion for us, completely at our request, and the best part? The boat picked us up right in front of the hotel. No buses, no hassles. Just pure vacation convenience. This was truly one of the best vacations we’ve had. They exceeded every expectation. We usually like to try new places every trip, not because other places disappoint, but because we love variety. But this time? My wife is already planning our return, which has never happened in 18 years of marriage. That alone says everything. If you’re wondering whether Villas Del Mar really is as good as everyone says… it absolutely is. Just don’t tell too many people—I’d still like to be able to get a reservation. 😉
