Lousy customer service. Non working tv, and ac made a loud noise. Made many attempts to call with 0 answer. No apologies

Liked:Once we got to our room we realized we had a tv that wouldn’t work and an ac unit that made loud noises. After attempting many times to call, with no answer, they finally answered. A rep came up to assess and never called back with a solution. Again, we made several attempts to find out their solution with no answer. This went on and on for an hour or so. Finally after demanding to change rooms because they were obviously not going to fix the problems in our current room, they moved us. We repacked and lugged our big bags up two flights of stairs as there were no elevators. Once there, that tv had issues which needed fixed. Grateful that we had only one night here. It was next to the runway and in a seedy area. Never an apology from anyone. They seemed very put out if anything.

Better Experiences to be had

Liked:We were to spend 4 nights at this "hotel" over New Years and had purchased trip insurance. Our flight was delayed and then cancelled when we were on the runway due to an engine malfunction. They could not guarantee another flight, so our trip was over before it started. We immediately contacted this "hotel" and told them about the issue and that we needed to cancel our reservation, which had been booked through expedia/hotels.com. We had 3 phone conversations with them after this saying they could not cancel the reservation until it was cancelled through hotels.com, which didn't make sense as we had contacted them too. Our last call was with Debbie Serju-Williams (please note she works for the Best Western which is tied to this hotel). She was unpleasant, rude and hung up on my husband. We contacted expedia and again explained the situation. The expedia representative directly contacted Debbie and she was also hung up on. Hotels.com/Expedia did not end up honoring our insurance and this hotel has completely ignored us. Hotels.com/Expedia are well aware of the issues with this lodging. We asked if we could have a credit for a future stay as we come to T&C every year. Still nothing. Now seeing the most recent reviews we may have avoided a complete nightmare stay. We contacted Larry Cuculic (CEO & President of BWH Hotels (SureStay) regarding the issues with Debbie/the "hotel". No response.

Would never return

Liked:Had a few issues well. Was on buisness/vacation trip. First off the cleaning was not done well. The ice busket had remnants of rotted fish for the entire period. The initil room given the ac was non functional. The pool jaccuzi was non functional anf the laundry was also non functional apparently awaiting parts. Basic things like water was not provided and clean glasses as well.Had to ask on occasion. Few othwr issues that would not get in detail with but, all around would never stay here again.traveled at a very costly time as well so was very disappointed.

Cockroaches and terrible customer service

Liked:We stayed at this hotel as a last minute option because our flight was canceled. Check in was painfully slow even though no one else was there. When we got our room it was large and appeared to be clean but had a terrible mildew smell. Within a hour of being in the room we saw cockroaches in and around the drawers in the main room. I quickly went to the front desk to let them know. They argued with me and told me they had just fumigated and that I was wrong. One of the workers also told me to lower my voice even though I wasn’t raising my voice which was infuriating but I walked away because obviously nothing was going to be done. Later on, we saw another cockroach in the bathroom. It was smaller than the others but still yuck. See picture. On top of everything the gate beside our room banged against the wall all night long which kept waking our kids. Finally I got fed up and went out to ask the guy to stop banging the gate that it was waking our children and he yelled at me that it wasn’t him. This was the same man who told me to lower my voice was now raising his voice to me. I was so frustrated between the noise, the cockroaches in our room and the disrespect, I was done. I sent my husband out to deal with them. After that, it seemed like they made an effort to not slam the gate but it still happened all night. I write this as warning, don’t plan to get a good rest at this hotel or at least not in room 101. The air conditioner is the loudest I’ve ever heard, the gate slams anytime someone walks through it and the knowledge that there are cockroaches in the room makes it impossible to sleep not to mention the strong mildew smell. The disrespect of the staff and the lack of customer service just add to the terrible experience. Oh a just an FYI don’t rely on the shuttle, we heard the receptionist telling another guest that the shuttle could not pick them up because there was too much traffic, which was laughable because we had just arrived from the airport and there was zero traffic. Don’t expect anything extra / inclusion from this hotel. The customer service is TERRIBLE I not big on leaving reviews but this has to be documented.
