Beautiful rooms but really only a bed and breakfast facility. Not a premium hotel

Liked:Lovely hotel with luxury finishes and delightful breakfast room ( with lovely breakfast) Staff are excellent Good location but let down by the fact it basically shuts up shop at 7 pm. It closes its lounge area, bar and restaurant so more like a bed and breakfast! Such a shame to waste a lovely lounge and bar to relax in the evening. I understand not offering evening dining but not having a lounge area or evening bar seems ridiculous for a hotel of this stature. I suspect they are struggling to be profitable as a full blown hotel although no cheaper than other so called 4 star hotels

Disliked:Shuts all facilities off at 7 pm More like an upmarket bed and breakfast hotel than a premium facility. Staying at the Corinthian Budapest for the same cost which is way better than the Esplanade

Great value and location

Liked:Great location near the train station and old town. Beautiful, well maintained old historic building.

Disliked:It was not very busy, and the beautiful old bar was empty most of the time
