Disliked:Towels and linens were dirty. Blood spots found on the comforter looked like the kind you see from dead bedbugs. The staff pretended as if this was out of the ordinary but two different rooms (one an upgrade) had the exact same cleanliness issues, including a dirty qtip on the counter and scuff marks on the sheets *after* the room was marked clean.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Lack of Basic Amenities, and Extra Fees

Disliked:I recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Portland and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. For a brand under the Marriott umbrella, the service and room quality fell far below basic expectations. Key issues during our stay: Unfulfilled Housekeeping (Zero Housekeeping) We were informed at check-in that rooms are cleaned every two days. However, across our entire 5-night stay, no cleaning was ever done. Even after calling the front desk directly to remind them, no one ever came to service the room. Room Quality & Cleanliness: The room was small and dusty, and the carpet was visibly dirty and unhygienic, a real issue when staying for 5 days. Lack of Basic Amenities: Aside from a coffee maker, zero complimentary water bottles or standard basic amenities were provided in the room. Unexpected Extra Fees: On top of the already high parking rates, we were hit with additional fees simply for having an oversized vehicle. Front Desk Service: The staff we interacted with were unwelcoming, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. Overall, between the poor hygiene standards, unkept promises on housekeeping, hidden extra charges, and unfriendly staff, this property falls way short. I would not recommend staying here until management addresses these operational and customer service flaws.
