Staff was rude, lazy, and argumentative.

Disliked:We arrived 35 minutes after our check-in time and were advised that the room was not ready. “It is clean, however waiting for inspection” when I asked about estimated eta of completion check in lady advised that she was unsure of how long it would take as “we are short staffed and I will call you when it was ready. Should not me more that 15 mins” we waited 30 and received no call. We went back to front desk at which was now 1 hour past our original allowed check-in time and was then told it was still not ready and showing the same status. I said it’s been over an hour past our checkin time and asked what are you going to do to make this right.? She then proceeds to say “you can’t have a discount as this was booked through a third party” I stated we never asked for a discount and the room was paid for in full several months prior to stay date. Other guest with the same room type did not have to wait or have issues checking it. It was very obvious that we were being treated differently because we didn’t reserve directly through the hotel. The time she took to argue and make excuses she could have been calling/ accommodating to get the inspection approved. They did however give us a late check out for the trouble. During our stay we also asked front desk for a package of silverware which they give out at breakfast. We were told “we don’t just give those out unless it’s breakfast it costs too much. I can you one but I’m not going to go back there. I do have to two butter knives from my lunch yesterday you can borrow them as chopsticks”
