If you are expecting typical hotel ammenities, this may not be the place for you.

Liked:The actual room and building were charming, my suite was on the fourth floor and came with a balcony. The room was very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Disliked:Dont be mistaken - this is essentially a glorified Airbnb. There's no staff at all, there's not even check-in they just tell you the code to the building and the name of your suite. There is no elevator. Much of the amenities are what you would expect from an Airbnb - i.e. coffee and toiletries bought from a grocery store. Curtains are not blackout, there are only privacy shades. Worst of all there was no easy way to get help. There was no information inside the building at all. I didn't know the wifi password, and my room was missing hand soap, but when I tried to contact the building through booking.com app, the phone number led to an employee who hadn't worked there in nearly 8 months, and I had to get the actual phone number to the owner through her. When I tried calling that one there was no answer or way to leave a voicemail. Booking.com support wasn't able to reach the owner either but messaged her. Luckily, I did get a call back about 15-20 minutes later, and she texted me the wifi code, and told me to grab the hand soap from the communal kitchen on the fourth floor.

What a gem. It is a beautiful property and well placed for lots of great places to eat.

Liked:The room was beautiful, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was very clean. The water pressure was good in the shower and I felt very safe as a solo traveler. It's in the Italian part of town and there are tons of great restaurants and murals all around.

Disliked:There was nothing really.... there was ingredients for coffee but no creamer so I ran across the street to Bart's Bagels.
