Liked:Location, location, location! Steps away from the Convention Center, 5 min walk from Reading Terminal Market, 10 min walk from the subway and 15 min by bus from historic Philadelphia. The staff are wonderful - very friendly and helpful: in addition to helping with weirdly timed check-ins and holding our bags, when my sister lost her earbuds in the gym the staff found them and kept them for us in record time. The breakfast spread is very thorough and has a nice menu rotation. Rooms are a good size, and the gym is small but functional.

Disliked:2 issues to consider for longer stays: When I visited (May 2026) the laundry machines were not even hooked up, so I had to find a laundromat. Also, some of the rooms' AC units can put out a slight mold/mildew smell which could affect people with bad asthma. For a short stay it wasn't a problem, but for my family one member did start to be affected after a few days.

Disliked:Breakfast is good but could be better (adding more fruits and more options). One guy from the reception desk was not kind (do not remember the name).

Good room, but terrible, untrained and unpolite staff

Liked:Location is good. Walkable to city centre and historic area. Breakfast was good, the children loved the waffle machines. The room was beautiful and comfortable.

Disliked:I had very few situations worse than I had on this hotel. On my way to the hotel I called in advance to check everything was ready for our arrival, as I was travelling with 3 children, one of them being a infant and we would get to Philadelphia very late. I just wanted to be able to get in the room and put them in bed immediately. On the phone I was greeted with a very unsympathetic staff that dismissed my concerns completely, did not confirm anything I wanted to confirm saying "I don't know you, where you come from so I can't check anything until you are here". This person proceeded in passing the call to reservations where another person just picked up the phone and put me on hold for a long time. I had to hang up as I was on an international call. Arriving at the hotel, our room was not ready. Only one bed was done. I had to make the sofa bed for my children myself, including assembling the sofa bed, which already had sheets on it as I disassembled the bed, so we had to use those sheets. There were no blankets for my children, no cot for my infant. It was a big mess, and a situation that I did not experience anywhere in the world, not even during this trip in the US on other places. It was a simple, basic request, get the room ready for our arrival, and the hotel fell short in every possible way to the point of being rude to us. Something really strange is happening, the room is actually a good room, but the level of service provided by the staff is appalling.
