A Special Stay!

Liked:My husband and I stayed for a quick 1 night staycation for our anniversary and it was perfect! Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at a room upgrade so we experienced the Hermann Bungalow side of the property. I found that side to be quieter and more exclusive. The pool is WAY quieter but not a traditional pool. The water goes to mid calf or so which is good for laying in the pool loungers but beware- the water is a lot warmer since the sun heats it up quicker. So many complaints in these reviews but I did not experience anything to complain about which I think was because I was on the other side of the property. A highlight was definitely the customer service! Shout out to Omar- bartender extraordinaire and Skyler at the front desk. I would stay here again.

FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE TO STAY

Liked:I will say the property itself is nice. However, we had a very bad experience. We arrived for a two day stay with our three small dogs. On check-in we were told there was a not publicly posted $150/pet/stay. We would have stayed somewhere else had we known. The desk agent asked me if I was okay with the charge. I was in shock. Of course it wasn't ok as a surprise at the desk. What was I supposed to do. Pay for the stay, but turn around and go home. I gave authorization to charge $300 for two dogs and then close my card. They decided to charge us for the third dog and made an unauthorized charge to my card, which should not have even been open in their system. This brought our, pet fee to 81% of our room charges. Upon seeing this I went to their website to find the pet policy. They don't have one. What they post is a $150 pet cleaning fee per stay. I brought this to their attention. They credited two dogs and acted like they were doing me a favor. Now we get to the room. The TV did not work on check in. Engineer came to look at it and could not fix it. Said someone would come the next day to fix it. They did not. Kind of a big deal if you want to go to the desert to chill, nap, watch Tv and lay in the sun. Having to examine the TV, which is ceiling mounted, the back of it was caked in dust. Hadn't been cleaned in months. The top of the drapes in the same area also caked in dust. Several days after arriving home my husband got a mystery charge to his card. No call, email or text from the hotel. I called and asked to speak to the property manager. I was transferred to a voicemail with no greeting. Called back to make sure that was the GM's office. Was assured it was. Left a message and gave a day for a return call. Nothing. Clearly, they can't be bothered. They are perfectly comfortable placing random charges on your card with or without your authorization. Don't stay here.

OUR FAVORITE HOTEL IN PALM SPRINGS

Liked:I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are stunning, and we love the rooms. We have stayed here 3 times now, and just got married in the backyard of the gorgeous suite called The Residence. The manager Contessa went above and beyond to make our stay/wedding absolutely flawless. We have never felt so cared for. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel! We will be back to visit again, asap!
