Very old, somewhat clean, aggressive dogs, unfriendly

Liked:The rooms were a good size. I had different rooms and I liked the big windows in the older rooms. The rooms seemed fairly clean despite everything being old and broken.

Disliked:Pai is very dry, so many things are dry and dusty. That is not the hotel's fault. But the website photos are very, very misleading. The hotel is old and everything is very rundown. I didn't like the 2 large dogs barking (aggressively) at me every time I walked in. If a hotel has dogs, they should at least train them to accept guests. Pool is very cloudy. (If that's due to the salt/cleaning product, they should put a sign saying that.) Hotel looked very empty, but when I arrived at 1pm, they said that I could not check-in until 2pm. (Baring in mind that it's 37 degrees outside, 300+ pm2.5, the hotel is a 20 minute walk from the town, and the government has sent warnings to everyone's phone saying it's dangerous to be outside.) I've not experienced that in Thailand before.
