Liked:I recently stayed at Puripai Villa in Pai for a week, and I would like to share a detailed and constructive review based on my experience. First of all, I want to highlight the strong positive aspects of the property. The view is absolutely stunning. The surrounding landscape is peaceful, beautiful, and truly worthy of admiration. The architecture of the hotel is impressive, with spacious rooms that feel elegant and thoughtfully designed. The size of the rooms is generous, creating a sense of comfort and relaxation. Additionally, the bed is extremely comfortable, which made resting after long days exploring Pai a real pleasure.

Disliked:However, for the price point and for a hotel presenting itself in the 5-star category, the overall experience unfortunately does not align with those expectations. Service & Communication • There is no luggage service to the rooms, which is surprising for a property at this level. • Several staff members had difficulty communicating in English, making some simple requests more complicated than they should be. Breakfast Experience This was one of the most disappointing aspects of the stay. • Very limited variety. • Maximum of two types of fruit. • Only one type of marmalade available. • Bread was sometimes stale. • When items finished, they were not replaced promptly. • Boiled eggs were frequently missing, and guests had to repeatedly inform staff. • Empty trays would remain unattended for long periods. For a hotel in this price range, breakfast should feel abundant, fresh, and consistently maintained. Unfortunately, it felt under-managed and below standard. Additionally, the juice glasses are extremely small, requiring constant refills, which disrupts the dining experience unnecessarily. There is also a policy allowing only one meal per person from the menu, which again feels restrictive and inconsistent with a luxury positioning. Room Facilities • The Wi-Fi connection only works reliably near the lobby, and not properly in rooms farther away. • The shower was the most uncomfortable part of the stay. The water temperature fluctuates constantly — either extremely hot or suddenly cold — making it impossible to shower comfortably. For a 5-star standard, this is a critical issue that requires urgent attention.

Avoid this place if you are actually looking for a wellness resort

Liked:The property was not what they advertise it as , it’s not really a wellness resort. We cut short our stay 3 days before. Pictures didn’t do any justices , property smelled of cannabis , especially if you sit on the balcony.

Disliked:Staff was the biggest reason why I would want to give it 1 start , they don’t smile(in the land of smiles) , rude short replies , not helpful at all , we had to carry our two suits cases down stairs when we checked out and they just stood there looking at us and will not even even offer to help. Except the one cleaning guy everyone else needs to be educated in hospitality especially ones in the reception. Breakfast is something I don’t even want to talk about.
