Great Hotel, Bad Neighborhood

Liked:The room itself was great. Nice, spacious, clean room with everything in working order. The staff was very polite at check-in, check-out, and any other interactions.

Disliked:While this is not the hotel's fault, it is worth pointing out - Despite being in downtown Omaha, which I assumed to be a good location, the hotel is less than a block away from a homeless encampment and homeless people can be seen wandering near the hotel. The reason I booked the hotel was to be within walking distance of an event just a short walk away, but I did not feel safe walking around the neighborhood, so I still ended up using Uber. I noticed security in the parking lot on one of the two nights I was there, but it definitely took away my main motive for staying here. Had I known about the neighborhood, I would have stayed at a cheaper hotel outside of town and just Ubered to/from the event.
